What a beautiful and intriguing place Cappadocia is. Yesterday I was taken on a tour of some of the underground tunnels where Christians would hide in case of danger.
They didn't actually live there but would spend a night or two a bit like the bunkers used in WW2. One of the photos below show a millstone that would be rolled across tunnel entrances to block them off.
