From one extreme to another.
From the ruins of Ephesis and Hieropolis to the 'Benidorm' of Turkey at Oludeniz (on the coast, south of Fethiye, if anyone needs to know!)..
I thought I might suffer from culture shock in Istanbul but not until I reached the holiday 'camp' of Belcekiz Beach Club that it is really apparent.. From the all your could ever dream of eating buffet, including fabulous desserts, to pool volleyball and darts competitions... I was a little scathing of the British who were in the pool instead of on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen until I tried walking on hot stones to get to the sea (which was warm and wonderful) and then when I collapsed onto a sun lounger exhausted I discovered that it was going to cost me about $8 to remain there, so I too quickly returned to the pool and free drinks!
